DA-PRDP Regional Project Coordination Office 02 (RPCO 02) - Cagayan Valley reported significant gains in 2023, preparing for the scale-up of PRDP in 2024.
The Value Chain Analysis (VCA) serves as a strategic tool within the PRDP, aiding in the identification of key interventions for commodity development. Utilizing VCA findings, the project develops Provincial/City Commodity Investment Plans (P/CCIPs), guiding the selection of eligible interventions for funding in PRDP’s I-BUILD and I-REAP components.
Enhancements in the I-PLAN Operations Manual necessitate the strengthening of institutional capacities to effectively implement protocols and processes. The expansion of value chain analysis covers potential agro-industry investments in urban and peri-urban areas.

At CC-AMIA DA RFO 02, our vision is to foster a resilient Philippine agri-fisheries sector that empowers local communities to manage climate risks while pursuing sustainable livelihoods. To achieve this, CC-AMIA focuses on developing and promoting Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) through the implementation of technologies, institutional innovations, and climate-relevant support services.
To strengthen the implementation of the AMIA Program and its Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Measures, CC-AMIA identifies key climate risks and geographic targets across the country. This involves establishing community level research and developing interventions to facilitate the introduction and upscaling of Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) innovations.

Performance of SAAD in Cagayan Valley
In Region 2, SAAD Phase 2 targets 13 municipalities classified as 5th and 6th-class areas for agricultural development.
For its first year of implementation, DA RFO 02 concentrated its efforts on five (5) fifth-class municipalities, namely Saguday, Quirino; Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya; Sta. Praxedes, Cagayan; San Isidro, Isabela; and Basco, Batanes.
