To our leaders and stakeholders, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for your invaluable guidance and collaboration. Through our coordinated efforts and strong connections, we have achieved remarkable progress, empowering farmers and bolstering their self-sufficiency.

We acknowledge our partners from the National Government Agencies (NGAs) that initiate various strategies and develop policies for agricultural advancement in their areas of concern, contributing to the vision laid by the current administration.

We highly recognize the relentless support of the Local Government Units (LGUs) as our primary partners in agricultural development. Their crucial role in program and project implementations is invaluable.

We salute the Farmer Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs), the women sector, and our young farmers for their commitment to boosting the agricultural sector, utilizing their available resources alongside the Department’s provisions.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you, the unsung heroes of our agricultural landscape: the farmers, fisherfolk, and livestock raisers.

Your dedication, passion, and commitment are the driving forces behind our success. Building on a holistic engagement, we aim to ensure that the region remains at the forefront of agricultural innovation and sustainability. As we chart our course for the future, let us carry forward the lessons and the achievements. Let us strive to become competent public servants dedicated to leaving a lasting impact, and ensure that our plans and programs align with the aspirations of our administration and the needs of our farmers.

DA-PRDP Regional Project Coordination Office 02 (RPCO 02) - Cagayan Valley reported significant gains in 2023, preparing for the scale-up of PRDP in 2024.

The Value Chain Analysis (VCA) serves as a strategic tool within the PRDP, aiding in the identification of key interventions for commodity development. Utilizing VCA findings, the project develops Provincial/City Commodity Investment Plans (P/CCIPs), guiding the selection of eligible interventions for funding in PRDP’s I-BUILD and I-REAP components.

Enhancements in the I-PLAN Operations Manual necessitate the strengthening of institutional capacities to effectively implement protocols and processes. The expansion of value chain analysis covers potential agro-industry investments in urban and peri-urban areas.

We salute the Farmer Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs), the women sector, and our young farmers for their commitment to boosting the agricultural sector, utilizing their available resources alongside the Department’s provisions.

Integration of value chain analysis and risk assessment involve identifying hazards and conflicts, prioritizing them, and recommending risk management measures. Climate tools are integrated into value chain analysis, aligning with global best practices and reflected in Provincial Commodity Investment Plans (PCIP).

At CC-AMIA DA RFO 02, our vision is to foster a resilient Philippine agri-fisheries sector that empowers local communities to manage climate risks while pursuing sustainable livelihoods. To achieve this, CC-AMIA focuses on developing and promoting Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) through the implementation of technologies, institutional innovations, and climate-relevant support services.

To strengthen the implementation of the AMIA Program and its Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation Measures, CC-AMIA identifies key climate risks and geographic targets across the country. This involves establishing community level research and developing interventions to facilitate the introduction and upscaling of Climate Resilient Agriculture (CRA) innovations.
