After the successful launch of TienDA Malasakit Store in the cities of Santiago, Tuguegarao, and Ilagan, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02 (DA RFO 02) through the DA-Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (DA-AMAD) opened on Thursday, May 16, 2019 another outlet of its TienDA Malasakit Store located at Dalupang Street, District 1, Cauayan City, Isabela.
In partnership with the City Government of Cauayan and Cauayan Government Employees (CAGE) Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC), the activity was graced by DA RFO 02 Regional Executive Director Narciso A. Edillo.
“Our TienDA is an alternative market outlet to help our farmers in selling their agricultural produce. Dito, walang middlemen na magdidikta ng presyo, kaya mas mura ang mga bilihin dahil direkta ang mga ito sa mga magsasaka,” Director Edillo said.
He then challenged the group to maintain the operation of TienDA to benefit the farmers and consumers as well.
Meanwhile, 1 unit of chest freezer worth P42 thousand was awarded to CAGE MPC as additional assistance in the establishment of TienDA.
Also in attendance were officials and employees of DA RFO 02, Cauayan City Local Government Unit, CAGE members, students, farmers, and exhibitors.
