To continuously promote matured technologies in Cagayan Valley, the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office No. 02 (DA-RFO 02) had recently conducted the groundbreaking of the Technology Commercialization Center at San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
The building that costs around P12 Million aim to introduce Research & Development (R&D) breakthroughs. It was funded by the Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) and DA-RFO 02.
According to Regional Executive Director Narciso A. Edillo, the center shall also showcase publications of proven technologies generated through R&D and the display area of agri-based processed products developed by DA-RFO 02 through its research centers and experiment stations.
“The department is continuously investing in R&D activities which generate information, technologies, and products for the benefit of their intended users,” he said.
Construction shall commence immediately and is expected to be fully operational by 2020.
