In celebration of Filipino Food Month (FFM) 2025, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 2 (DA-RFO 02), through its Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (DA-RAFIS), conducted the food processing skills through live demonstrations and lectures on April 11, 2025, at Robinsons Place, Tuguegarao City.
As part of the event, a series of lectures and live food processing demonstrations were conducted by experts from DA-RFO 02. These included:

โMeat Processingโ by Mr. Paul Marco Andal, Chemist III at the DA-Integrated Laboratory Division
โDA-RFO 02 Processed Products and TBI ADePt Servicesโ by Mr. Mark Patrick P. Atabay, Science Research Specialist II at DA-CVRC and ADePt-TBI Manager
These sessions aimed to equip local food producers, farmers, and agribusiness owners with practical skills and knowledge on food processing techniques.
Beyond skill-building, the activity also promoted sustainability, appreciation, and preservation of Filipino culinary heritage. Through initiatives like this, the Department of Agriculture reaffirms its support for farmers, agripreneurs, and rural communities, preserving traditions while fostering innovation and growth in the agriculture sector.
