The operations of KADIWA ni Ani at Kita in Cagayan Valley hits P1.9M gross sales over less than a month.
According to the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD) of the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office No. 02 (DA-RFO 02), the KADIWA on wheels alone garnered P1.3M.
The KADIWA outlets operated by the employees’ cooperatives of DA-RFO 02 and its research centers and experiment stations in the region.
Individual farmers and cooperatives support it as product suppliers.
The suppliers do not only deliver their products in outlets but also operating the KADIWA on wheels in their areas.
Operation of outlets started last March 24 while the KADIWA on wheels had begun roaming around only last March 30, 2020, to the five provinces covering thirteen (13) municipalities regionwide.
It is a pet project of Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar that aims to support farmers in marketing their produce and also serves to assist consumers in buying fresh, nutritious, and affordable foods for their families.
