Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar graced the inauguration and turn over ceremonies of Namabbalan Norte-Cabbo Farm to Market Road and Cagayan Dairy Enterprise.
With him were Gov. Manuel N. Mamba, City Mayor Jefferson P. Soriano, RED Narciso Edillo, RTD Rose Mary G. Aquino, RTD Butch Busania and the Department Heads of Cagayan Provincial Capitol.
He also consulted the officers and members of the Integrated Farmers Cooperative (IFC) led by Manager Juan Agabin.
After the ribbon-cutting in Namabbalan Norte, he visited the I-REAP Civil Works which amounts to 9.7 million pesos in segment 2, boundary of Tuguegarao City and Penablanca.
“The 17.8 kilometer- farm to market road is jointly funded by the World Bank, the Department of Agriculture through PRDP and the Provincial Government. As I see now that it is completed, join my hands in improving life in this part of the Philippines,” Sec. Dar said.
In Barangay Baliuag, Penablanca, a ceremonial ribbon-cutting was led by Gov. Mamba for the bridges before the entourage proceeded to barangay Bical for the turn over ceremonies.
“We are happy for having these subprojects implemented by the Provincial Government. It is now complete and it is of great help to the farm folks here, ” Gov. Mamba said. ” We have a ten percent counterpart in the funding of the 210 million worth FMR with bridges.”

“To bolster the capacity of the enterprise, we are giving 100 heads of dairy carabaos. This will fortify the milk industry here in Cagayan,” Sec. Dar said in his message.
Other activities include the launching of the Survival and Recovery Aid (SURE) in Cagayan Province.
