In its goal to breed new talents and train ‘would be leaders’ that will affect and initiate change in the agency by delivering personal excellence and outstanding end goals, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02 (DA-RFO 02) thru the Human Resources Management Office in tandem with the Civil Service Commission Region 02 (CSC 02) conduct a three (3) day Supervisory Development Course (SDC) Track 1 which started today, October 24, 2018 and will run until Friday, October 26, 2018 at DA RFO 02 Organic Conference Hall, San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City.
The workshop, which was participated in by newly appointed first line supervisors, experienced leaders, seeking refreshing training, and employees seeking professional development are encouraged to make notes on seminar material for application to their own divisions and sections.
Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulatory Rosemary Aquino, in her part, delivered a message with a strong sense of urgency stating “industry and career learning should never stop”.
“Employees should always strive to seek more knowledge, polish professional skills, and aim for excellence each day on the job”, Aquino said, emphasizing professional development for employees should be just as important for employers as it is for their employees.
CSC Acting Director II for Cagayan and Batanes Field Offices Jovy V.T. Miguel praised DA for producing top-notch leaders in its respective field one of which is the Lingkod Bayan Award, the highest award for government officials which was awarded to Aquino in 2017.
“I have been working with different government agencies since I started my career in the CSC and I am very proud that leaders who initiate change and become successful are those who always say YES in every opportunity”, she lamented.
Aquino said that we can all be successful when we respect each other and we should have an open communication with our colleagues whether that colleague has the highest or lowest position in the workplace.#
