Roxas, Isabela – In tandem with the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Roxas, Isabela and Provincial Government of Isabela, the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 02 (DA RFO 02) re-launched the Isabela Agricultural Products Trading Center (IAPTC) and conducted Panagdadapun in Munoz West, Roxas, Isabela on July 4, 2018.

DA Assistant Secretary-Designate for Agribusiness Andrew B. Villacorta, said in a statement the IAPTC should expand sources of supply from adjacent municipalities. Villacorta challenges the farmers and traders to work together in order to sustain the APTC not just for local consumption. He then introduced Production Loan Easy Access (PLEA), a new program of the government sought to establish a low interest rate of six (6) per cent per annum.

Regional Executive Director Lorenzo M. Caranguian urged the farmers to produce more for the APTC to continue its operation. In its plight to agri-business, Caranguian convinced every farmer to be an entrepreneur.

The event was participated in by more than 320 farmers, 98 traders and 7 agro-chemical companies.

The PanagDAdapun/TienDA had a total sales amounting to 137, 104 pesos. #
