STATION MANAGER

The DA RFO 02 – Isabela Experiment Station (IES) is dedicated to pioneering advancements in sheep farming to support sustainable livestock production in Region 02. In line with the Department of Agriculture’s vision of a food-secure and resilient Philippines with prosperous and empowered farmers and fisherfolk, the center continuously innovates and develops technologies that improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability in the livestock sector.

The station is committed to transforming sheep farming into a highly productive, profitable, and sustainable industry. This will be achieved through the adoption of advanced technologies, genetic enhancements, crop-livestock integration and the development of high-value processed products that cater to evolving market demands. By integrating science-based solutions, precision farming techniques, and climate-smart livestock practices, the center seeks to enhance productivity, improve herd quality, and strengthen disease resistance. These efforts will not only boost the competitiveness of sheep farming but also ensure its long-term environmental sustainability and economic viability, empowering local farmers with resilient and profitable agricultural opportunities.

Committed to the Department of Agriculture’s mission of promoting a modernized, climate-resilient, and globally competitive agricultural sector, the Isabela Experiment Station will continue to serve as a hub for research, innovation, and knowledge transfer. Through collaboration with farmers, industry stakeholders, and research institutions, we strive to create sustainable opportunities that enhance agricultural livelihoods and contribute to national food security
